Just seeing the Cherry Blossoms bloom all over Atlanta warms my soul. Spring is my favorite season of the year and I love the beauty it brings with it for the short 3 1/2 months we get to enjoy it. I still find myself picking flowers off of bushes and trees as if I was roaming in my grandma's garden at the age of seven. Can I be that age again? The only responsibilities you had was to protect your 94 count Crayola crayon box from getting stolen. I don't want to Adult anymore. ;(
So as of lately, anything covered in stripes is trending for Spring, and I'm down and a half with it! I have so many striped items in my closet and many more coming in the mail.....I can't be stopped, guys! If I can find a striped clutch, my life would be complete. I already found a hologram clutch, so now I can scratch that off my list. Contrary to belief, ordering items from Asia is probably the best thing ever! They have so many style for less!! You just have to be patient. It is coming to you from the other side of the globe after all. This clutch feels like it was made with sturdy, high quality faux leather and the chain that comes with it isn't heavy. If I had a tablet, it would definitely fit inside. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. If anything happens to it, I will be sure to give you all an update asap. ;)

xx,
I'm a strong believer that we all have an alter ego, as far as style goes. Mine is very Alternative. I've always loved the 'Tumblr' Pastel Goth and Alternative/Grunge fashion and I still do to this day. I know...very uhh, different from my usual Boho Minimal Chic style. With this outfit, I decided to stick with the minimal palette and let my shoes be the highlight of the show. Have I ever told you guys how obsessed I am with anything Hologram? If you've been a long time reader, you already know. ;)
What's your Style Alter Ego?

Welcome back to another Fabulous Finds Friday! Thank Goodness It's Friday!
Today, I wanted to share my new CK jeans!
I found this pair of straight leg jeans at my local Plato's Closet with the intention of finding a pair of black denim skinnies. For my readers outside of the U.S....it's a thrift store that sells gently used clothing from the latest brands like DKNY, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Miss Me, Brandy Melville, Forever21, etc.
I immediately snatched this steal from the rack when I realized that not only was it NWT, but the store was selling them for $12!!! I'd be crazy for leaving them there! Honestly all I have to do is alter the area around my thighs (SURPRISINGLY....cause Thunder + Lightning are no joke) and my waist for a better fit. They have a lot of stretch in them so if my legs do get any thicker, it's all good. Soon, I'll be catwalking down the street in my new Calvin blues. Part of me wants to be like everyone else cliche and wear a CK sports bra with my new jeans....but nah. Instead, I think I'll stick to a plain white tee or a super cute boho or minimal top partially tucked in the front to show off one of my vintage belts.
I can't stress enough how wonderful thrifting is! You'll be extremely surprised at what someone the same size as you will get rid of. I once found a Michael Kors circle skirt at my local Goodwill back in Nashville, but unfortunately it was too big and at the time I didn't know how to alter clothes so I left it for the next girl to find. Was I sad? UH YEAH. But whoever scored that luxury of a skirt is giving it the justice it deserves.
Now of course you're supposed to wash your items once you come home for sanitary reasons, but other than that it's not gross like everyone says it is. I mean where else are you going to find vintage or one of a kind pieces??? Exactly. Celebrities always find themselves in the 'Who Wore It Best' article in a magazine because someone else adored that same dress, too. You never know what you'll find, and if this post hasn't convinced you otherwise....stick around for the next Fabulous Find post.
How do you feel about this new series? Yay or Meh...? Have I convinced you to go thrifting yet? Any ideas on how I should style #MyCalvins? ;)

Romper (out of stock. Similar!) | Hat | c/o Earrings (site coming soon! 7 days left to enter the $250 giveaway!) | Heels | Purse (sold out) | Sunglasses (Currently Sold Out...patience young grasshopper!)
If you remember this post, you already know that I'm obsessed with bardot tops. Although I'm wearing a romper, it's off the shoulder nonetheless so of course I'm obsessed with it. As predicted, everything off the shoulder is trending once again and it is EVERYWHERE!
Honestly, if you purchase this style of top, I would purchase a size larger or better yet, try it on to see how it fits. The reason being is because the elastic in the 'neckline' lifts up and it can be a bit annoying....then again it can double as a boatneck neckline and honestly, that is my favorite neckline! :D
I told you I was reaching for my Baby Tory bag for Spring! I can't help it! It's so cute and this bright mint hue is everything. I love to pair more than two bright colors with my minimal outfit just to give it a more happy and fun look! Like my personality! :P
Can we just talk about this boater hat??? It was only $55 and it's from on of my favorite Australian brands, Lack of Color. Speaking of Australia, they are on a role with fashion and the latest trends! I'm obsessed with damn near every Australian label on Instagram! There will be a post on that coming soon so stay tuned. ;)

P.S. You should totally visit Suwanne one day if you ever decide to visit Atlanta for a few days. It's so beautiful!

Jacquard Dresses are one of the most sought after pieces for Spring and I'm definitely hopping on this bandwagon! I mean, just look at them...super feminine and elegant for any occasion, such as a wedding or even a polo event. Me personally, I would wear this dress if I was just getting coffee or running errands. Yeah, I'm that girl who still takes forever to get ready just to pick up her usual iced chai latte. Sue me. :P
My style isn't very girly and far from preppy but regardless, I would definitely have a couple of these pieces in my closet just in case. Like Kendi said, you never want to get caught without a dress for spring events! Is she right or is she right??? Right. It's hard to disagree with Kendi anyways. That lady is freakin' hilarious and she can dress her ass off.
I would style one of these dresses (my favorite is the blue dress with sunflowers) with my favorite pair of shoes and a fun shaped crossbody with my hair in curly ninja buns finished with my favorite pair of Lennon inspired frames (more on that coming soon!) Now that is a fabulous outfit!
Which of these dresses are you favorite? How would you style it? Don't be afraid to get into the details!!! I love reading your comments and checking out your blogs! You guys are so mindblowingly creative and stylish! Keep up the good work!

xx,
Please excuse my sexy imperfections. My lips are still recovering from the reaction I had, so they are a wee bit discolored. Learn from my mistake....STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP MAKEUP. Because f*cking Dermatitis. That's why. (Hot damn, it's time to pluck those caterpillars...)
After being turned down for having crap photos, I knew that if I wanted my blog to be taken seriously, I'd have to invest in an actual camera. There are so many blogs with posts titled 'How to Start a Fashion Blog' and the one tip that is very repetitive is 'You don't need an expensive camera to start a blog. Your iphone will do just fine'. Haha!! Girl, BYE! If your blog is just a hobby, then yeah, have at it. A Fabulous Hippie is more than that to me. It's my business. My brand. My love. Being a Sole Proprietor, I take my website seriously, and for someone to turn me down because of the quality of my photos was, in my opinion, kinda shallow (like, did you even READ the post?!) But then I stopped being butt hurt and thought about it.....they have a point. It's time I get serious with the quality of my photos. It's one thing to bring bomb ass content to the site, but let's face it....nobody likes grainy photos. It doesn't matter how unique and trendy that outfit was. If it's grainy, you blog's bounce rate on Google Analytics will be higher than 70%. At least that's what I think. Cellphone photos just doesn't cut it. Keep it on IG.
I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that you DON'T need a camera. I'm going to tell you to save your coins for one and while you save up, read photography blogs and watch a crap ton of youtube videos on how to get used to a DSLR like I did. Once you go to your local electronics store and purchase whatever camera you want, you'll already be a boss at knowing the best f-stop, ISO, and aperture settings for whatever setting you plan on shooting in. You may want to get a better understanding of what Composition means and why it's important, too. And besides, 'Self Taught Photographer' looks sexy on your resume. ;)
Like I said in this post, I don't regret how I started this blog. I couldn't afford a camera during that time (Priorites...I don't want to Adult anymore.) and being the independent person that I am, I wanted to work hard to get what I really wanted. I've never been the type to rely on a man to get me whatever I wanted or anyone for that matter....does that make me a feminist?
Well, hey...you can always email me or tweet me (@afabuloushippie) if you have any questions. I'm always 100% honest and I don't hide my secrets because I want all of us to succeed together. Don't be shy. Much Love!
xx,
